대가야의 도읍지 고령 읍내에 자리한 "황금터 숯불갈비"는 도로 주변에 근접해 있고 주차시설이 비교적 양호하기에 대가야의 유물을 관광하고 식사를 겸하여 잠시 휴식을 취하기에 좋은 곳으로, 식당의 외관은 목조 건축물의 정감과 깨끗함이 묻어나고 실내 환경 역시 천장이 높고 넓은 유리창으로 들어오는 햇살의 채광으로 시원하고 깨끗하게 느껴진다.

고령 대가야유적지는 520년 동안(A.D.42 - 562) 번영하였던 대가야국의 도읍 고령에 있는 유적지들을 말한다. 최근 대가야 문화에 대한 연구가 활발해지고, 문화답사에 대한 일반인들의 관심이 고조되고 있다. 한반도의 문화와 역사를 바로 알기 위해서 고대 문화의 흔적을 살펴볼 만한 곳이다. 국내답사가들 외에 일본인이 많이 드나드는 곳이기도 하다.

Gaesil Village is a clan village of the descendants of Jeompiljae Kim Jong-jik, the progenitor of the Yeongnam Sarim school of the mid-Joseon period, maintaining a long tradition. It houses cultural heritage such as Jeompiljae ancestral home, Doyeonjae, and the literary relics and artifacts of Yu Jeompiljae. Currently, Gaesil Village is engaged in a beautification project that offers healthy leisure and rural experience opportunities to urban residents and aims to improve income and quality of life for locals while passing traditional culture to future generations. The village paths are lined with earthen walls, and traditional wells and hanok houses used jointly by residents have been restored to preserve the nostalgic hometown atmosphere. Facilities like a senior citizens’ center and village hall provide everyday conveniences, and shared amenities such as an internet cafe and hiking trails have been established for a comfortable living environment. For residents' income increase, organic farming of vegetables, mushrooms, chives, and cucumbers is practiced in a venture farm where visitors can participate. Additionally, various experience programs such as agricultural production, traditional etiquette, and games for urban residents nationwide are developed to promote agricultural exchange.
