It is recorded in old books such as the Samguk Yusa that Queen Heo of King Suro's time brought the Pasa Stone Pagoda from the Western region Ayutthaya Kingdom across the sea to appease the wrath of the gods. The Pasa Stone Pagoda was originally located at the old Hogaesa site, but Gimhae magistrate Jeong Hyeon-seok moved it to the Suro Queen's tomb in Gusan-dong, stating it should be placed beside Queen Heo. Queen Heo, a princess of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, introduced Buddhism when she married, and her brother Jang Yuhwasang (Heo Bo-ok) came to Garakguk and was active as a great monk. Only the five-story part of the Pasa Stone Pagoda remains, with carvings that are peculiar and faint patterns with a reddish hue on the stone. According to the "Boncho Gangmok" written by Lee Si-jin, when burning Pasa Stone, it smells of sulfur, and if ground Pasa Stone is dropped on a chicken comb’s blood, it does not coagulate like ordinary stones.
