Geochang Market uses the character Ohong, the golden monkey, symbolizing a mythical creature from Geumwonsan Legend in Geochang. Ohong eats the five Hong fruits and transforms into a radiant being that neither dies nor ages, bringing fortune to people. Eating Geochang's Ohong fruits—apple, strawberry, omija, aedoni (pig), and aewoo (Korean beef)—is believed to promote health and longevity. The market sells five types of lunchboxes called '5 Hong 5 Bok' lunchboxes: Sudolunchbox (mugwort rice cake soup and red bean porridge) for longevity, Bulunchbox (aedoni tortilla & bugak salad) for wealth, Guilunchbox (aedoni jokbal cold dish) for success, Gangdolunchbox (tofu cutlet and omija ade) for health, and Dasolunchbox (Ohong bibimbap and soup) for happiness.
