Especially, middlemen from across the country, including Busan and Daegu, gather at the early dawn lightning market to collect wild greens, medicinal herbs, and fruits produced in clean Cheongdo, creating a great boom. Local specialties include Cheongdo Bansi persimmon, dried persimmon strips, semi-dried persimmons, Cheongdo peaches, Yuho King strawberries, glutinous barley rice, and Hanjae clean water parsley.
