당림미술관은 이곳이 고향이신 원로화가이며 예술원 회원인 이종무 선생이 낙향하여 2003년 5월 26일 타계하실 때까지 왕성하게 작품 활동을 하신 곳이다. 1997년 6월 14일 개관하였고 현재는 아들 이경렬님이 관장을 맡아 관리하고 있다. 동양화 서양화 판화조각 등 1,000여 점의 작품을 소장하고 있으며, 800여 평의 야외 조각공원이 조성되어 있고 갤러리, 레스토랑 시설도 갖추어져 있다.
