Huimangdae Park was established in the 1970s as the only park in Seongnam equipped with various playground facilities and was used as a picnic spot by nearby elementary schools until the early 1980s. With the founding of Gyeonggi-do Seongnam Library in 1983, the park's usage increased among local residents, leading Seongnam City to redevelop it as a public park facility in 1997. It features landscaping such as fountains, a lake, and lawns, as well as sports facilities including basketball courts, tennis courts, badminton courts, gateball courts, children's water play areas, and jokgu courts. An outdoor performance stage hosts events like puppet shows on Children's Day and children's talent contests. Within Huimangdae Park are the Gyeonggi Provincial Library and Seongnam Youth Training Center, establishing it as a park for youth. Recently, the nearby Seongnam Jeil Industrial Complex Neighborhood Park has become a popular dating spot for young people who come to view summer hydrangeas and Cosmos sulphureus flowers. Nearby attractions include Namhansanseong, Seongnam Central Park, and Yuldong Natural Park.
