Heebang Waterfall, located at the foot of Sobaeksan Mountain, lies on the path to Birobong Peak (1,439m), the highest peak of the Sobaeksan Mountain Range. It originates from Yeonhwabong Peak, the summit of Sobaeksan, and at 28 meters tall, it is the largest waterfall in the inland region and known as the number one waterfall in Yeongnam. The scholar Seogeojeong of the Joseon Dynasty described it as a place where he roamed in dreams bestowed by heaven, attesting to its roaring sound and beautiful scenery.
