東海岸一周海岸道路は全長500kmを超える国道7号線のドライブコースで、東海の深く青い海とともに走る。東海岸一周海岸道路は朝鮮半島の右側に位置する東海ラインの美しい海辺の都市を巡るコースで、高城から始まり束草、陽陽、江陵、東海、三陟、蔚珍、英徳を経て浦項、蔚山、釜山まで続く。その中で陽陽は特に異国的な魅力を持つ場所である。東海の青い海、清潔で美しい白砂の浜辺、海岸沿いに並ぶ木々、サーファービーチなどの自然景観と独特の雰囲気が調和している。

이국적인 청정해변으로 이름난 서퍼비치에서는 서핑을 체험할 수 있다. 1km 길이의 서핑 전용 프라이빗 비치가 아름답다. 서핑 이외에 해먹존, 힐링존, 빈백존 등 색다른 휴식공간도 제공하고 있다. 또한 보헤미안풍의 펍과 라운지 등이 마련돼 마치 서구의 해변에 온 듯한 느낌을 주는 매력적인 곳이다.
Hajodae is one of the ten scenic spots of Yangyang. The rocky coastline covering 135,000㎡ consists of striking rock formations and rock islands rising from the deep blue East Sea, harmonizing beautifully with the surrounding pine forest. A pavilion stands along the deck path. Built in 1955 and designated as Scenic Site No. 68 in 2009, Hajodae was reconstructed after being destroyed during the Korean War. Inside the pavilion hangs a plaque with the name Hajodae. It is said that Hajodae is named after Ha Ryun and Jo Jun, early Joseon founding loyalists who secluded themselves here during the late Goryeo period while planning a revolution. The pavilion offers famously beautiful vistas. A notably tall old pine tree on the rocky cliff once appeared in patriotic broadcasts and earned the nickname “Patriotic Pine.” Descending from the pavilion and following the deck path leads to the white Hajodae Lighthouse, also called Gisamun Lighthouse, first built in May 1962. This unmanned lighthouse is visible up to around 20km. The Hajodae Circuit Trail, connected to an observatory, allows visitors of all ages to enjoy the grandeur of the cliffs and rock views easily.
