Bito Island includes Woldeungdo, Tokki Island, Geobuk Island, and Mok Island, which are places linked to the legend of Byeoljubu-jeon featuring the rabbit, the turtle, and the Dragon King. The mudflats located between land and sea, appearing and disappearing twice, are an excellent buffer zone for terrestrial and marine ecosystems and serve as coastal ecological maintenance areas, well preserved as a natural ecological experience tourism site. Additionally, the eastern coast of Bito allows observation of various geological phenomena such as stromatolites, fossils, desiccation cracks, and ripple marks.
The Sacheon Mujigaetbit Coastal Road is a 3km drive course stretching from Yonghyeon-myeon Songji-ri to Daepodong area. Many tourists visit to take photos with the colorful boundary stones as the background. Mujigaetbit Coastal Road offers a unique sightseeing experience for citizens and tourists, and it is very good for touring as it is connected to various attractions such as Geobukseon Village and Daepo Port.
Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge is a land bridge connecting Daebang in Sacheon City and Changseon in Namhae County. It refers to five bridges including Samcheonpo Bridge, Choyang Bridge, Neukdo Bridge, Changseon Bridge, and Danhang Bridge that connect three islands (Neukdo, Choyangdo, Mogaeseom) between Sacheon City and Namhae County. Construction began in February 1995 and was completed and opened in April 2003. Passing through Sacheon city and entering Samcheonpo, you will experience the refreshing sea breeze and see the clear blue sea. Above it, the bridges serve as charming connectors among the islands, and that place is the Changseon-Samcheonpo Bridge.
Namildae Beach in Sacheon is said to have been named by the late Silla scholar Goun (孤雲) Choi Chi-won (崔致遠), who admired the clear blue sea, the white sandy beach, and the surrounding scenic views. The beaches lie along both east and west coasts centered on Hyangchon-dong. The eastern coast features remarkable natural formations such as the Hole Rock and the Rocking Rock, creating spectacular landscapes. On the southwest sea is Hakseom [鶴島], a habitat for egrets and grey herons, attracting many tourists. The exquisite Elephant Rock, resembling a giant elephant drinking water, is a famous Sacheon attraction. Namildae Beach is always crowded with tourists due to its clear clean seawater, soft sand, dense forest, the Jinneol Observatory, and fishing spots nearby. During the beach opening season, summer beach festivals such as the Beach Song Festival and Sea Film Festival are held.
Cheongneal Park was formerly called Cheongneolsan and Dongseo Park. Since 1996, private and public lands within the park have been acquired, and in 2011 landscaping trees were planted. Amenities such as a windmill observatory, restrooms, entrance plaza, walking trails, and parking lot were installed to develop it into a park. The park features a 16.8m-high windmill observatory, from which visitors can see Samcheonpo Port, Changseon and Samcheonpo bridges, jukbangnyeom fish traps, and the islands of Hallyeohaesang National Park, all creating a picturesque view. Cheongneal Park also has a landmark red-roofed windmill, giving it the nickname 'Windmill Hill.' It is a European-style park where you can enjoy the landscapes of Sacheon including the Sky Bridge, Cheongneal mural village, and Cheongneal Cultural Oreum.
As Korea's first cable car operating over both sea and mountains, it resolves the limitations of previous cable cars that ran only over sea or only over mountains, resulting in high passenger satisfaction. The total length is 2.43 km, and passengers can get off at Gaksan Station to ascend the observatory and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sacheon Sea. While traveling by cable car, the boats floating on the sea for fishing create the feeling of viewing a watercolor painting, and occasionally, one can encounter the native dolphin, the 'sanggwaengi.' The cable car operates on a round-trip course starting from Daebang Station, passing through Choyang Station and Gaksan Station, and returning to Daebang Station, with a total of 42 cabins (28 regular cabins and 14 crystal cabins).
