Pohang Songdo Beach has long been renowned for its silver sands and the surrounding dense pine forest, offering excellent natural conditions, but due to industrial complex development and partial beach erosion, it now has a sandy beach about 1,700m long with a width of 10 to 40m. It is conveniently located in the urban area and hosts events such as concerts. Designated as a national tourist site in 1983, swimming is not allowed, and it is mainly used as a place for walks.
