キョドンドは北朝鮮との距離がわずか2.6kmの接境地域にある島で、朝鮮戦争時に黄海道 延白から避難してきた実郷民が生活の基盤を築いている。2014年のキョドン大橋開通までは長い間孤立した島であり、時間が止まった島と呼ばれていた。現在はキョドン大橋の開通によりアクセスが便利になった。観光スポットにはキョドン大橋を背景に写真が撮れる月船浦、多様な見どころがある大竜市場、観光プラットフォームのツバメの巣、5つのテーマ公園からなる花開庭園、美しい景色を楽しめる花開山モノレール、8月に蓮の花が咲き誇る高句貯水池、10万本のひまわり畑がある蘭井貯水池などがある。また、キョドンドのダウルセギ歩きやムルメへの道歩きなどの観光コースもある。

ソチャン体験館は1938年に建てられた韓屋と染色工場であった旧平和織物の跡地を2016年にリモデルして整備された。江華郡の伝統産業であるソチャンの伝統文化遺産の保存と価値の再評価を目的とした施設である。江華の織物産業の歴史やソチャンの物語を理解できるほか、ソチャンのハンカチのスタンプ体験、茶道体験、織物の実演体験が常時行われている。スタンプ体験は事前予約が可能で、茶の試飲会や文化解説は現地申込で参加できる。

Aegibong Peace Ecological Park, the largest peace tourism site in Gimpo, is a symbolic place representing peace and harmony located in the only South-North joint use zone (Free-zone) on the Korean Peninsula. It is a space connecting the peaceful will of the Han River estuary like the flowing Jogang River that links divided history and culture. Additionally, the fact that it was the site of fierce battles between the South and North during the Korean War at the 154 Hill reminds visitors of the significance of Korea as the world's only divided nation. The old Aegibong observatory installed in 1978 was demolished and replaced with the Peace Ecology Exhibition Hall, Jogang Observatory, and ecological trails, renovated as Aegibong Peace Ecological Park. Designed by world-renowned architect Seung Hyo-sang, the buildings harmonize beautifully with the surrounding natural scenery, providing a space to reflect on the various meanings of peace. ※ Aegibong Peace Ecological Park is located in a civil restricted area (a civilian entry control zone near the inter-Korean border); visitors must carry identification and strictly observe exit times.
