Jinan, where 82% of the area is mountainous, is currently the region producing the most ginseng in the country. Opened on May 15, 1990, the Jeonbuk Ginseng Cooperative is a building with one basement floor and two above-ground floors (total area 1,595 pyeong), featuring a fresh ginseng distribution center, agricultural specialty product direct sales hall, white ginseng manufacturing plant, inspection center, promotional hall, exhibition hall, and rest area. It is the largest permanent ginseng market nationwide and allows visitors to see the growth and manufacturing sales process of Korean ginseng at a glance.
