Sintaein Market has been held as a five-day market since the 1910s and was newly opened after completing the market modernization project on December 30, 2008. The market is characterized by generally low prices for seafood and the availability of good quality chili peppers from the main chili-producing area as well as high-quality chili powder produced at the Sintaein Nonghyup Clean Chili Powder Processing Plant.
