Beonamjang is a market located in Jangsu-gun, Jeollabuk-do, held on the 1st and 6th days of each month. It is situated in a highland area with rugged mountains, clean air, and good water, preserving the unpolluted natural environment. A large quantity of medicinal herbs and wild vegetables are harvested and sold here. Merchants from nearby Namwon purchase grains and wild vegetables, especially medicinal herbs produced in Beonam, and distribute them nationwide. It is said that this five-day market has been maintained over a long period.
