Since the opening of Cheonggang Culture and Industry University in 1996, the museum has been steadily collecting rare comic materials and opened on December 10, 2002, with the history of comics organized into thematic topics. Based on about 2,000 rare domestic comic materials including publications and handwritten manuscripts, the museum is themed on the history of comics and also provides creative materials and exhibitions related to animation and game content. The exhibitions are organized around individual authors and works based on long-term collected and donated materials. In addition to comics, the permanent exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, curatorial research room, reading room (experience room), and storage are set up to enable easy and interesting understanding of animation and game genres.

Icheon Thermeden's German-style hot spring facility, unlike the Japanese style focused simply on bathing, is located on a vast site averaging over 300,000 square meters (90,750 pyeong) surrounded by lush forests in a natural park where you can enjoy forest bathing. It features a large Bade pool suitable for swimming, and in addition to the hot spring area, it offers various sports facilities, an amusement center, a cultural center, and various auxiliary facilities evenly equipped. Traditional hot springs mostly follow the Japanese style of soaking in a tub and exiting, but the German-style European hot springs stimulate various body parts through water jets installed in the Bade pool, providing massage effects while helping skin activation. In the extensive Bade pool with a depth of 120 cm and a diameter of 30 m, you can continuously exercise by walking or swimming in flowing and circulating water. Thermeden aims to realize this German-style hot spring and, on a total site of 429,754 m² (130,000 pyeong), starts with a 16,529 m² (about 5,000 pyeong) hot spring spa, planning to develop into an integrated resort with a hotel condo, arboretum, golf driving range, and horseback riding facilities.
