Hwangryong Chinsu Park is a famous canola flower spot in Gwangju, where in spring you can enjoy beautiful scenery of pink cherry blossom waves along with yellow canola flowers. In autumn, you can see cosmos flowers and silver grass, and in winter, various species of ducks visit Hwangryong River near the park to spend the season. The park, beautiful year-round, is home to natural monuments and endangered species such as otters, leopard cats, greater white-fronted geese, garganeys, common kestrels, and black kites. The park has walking paths, playgrounds, an X-game park, sports facilities, a deciduous tree garden, an ecological wetland, and convenience facilities. At the X-game park, you can enjoy inline skating, skateboarding, and BMX, but there are no equipment rentals available, so you must bring your own to participate.
