Bontodaega, located near Goseong City Hall in Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, specializes in soy sauce set meals. They sell set meals featuring soy sauce marinated crab, scallop soy sauce, abalone soy sauce, and shrimp soy sauce. The soy sauce is aged with low salt, so even a spoonful of soy sauce with a spoonful of rice does not feel salty, allowing for a worry-free enjoyment. Seafood doenjang stew, steamed egg, and pot-cooked rice are served together; you add soy sauce to the freshly cooked rice and mix with seaweed flakes, sesame oil, or wasabi according to preference. Scallop soy sauce is a local specialty of Goseong and is popular as it is rarely found elsewhere. Next to the restaurant, there is a separate take-out-only shop, and orders by delivery are also available.
