Gochang Traditional Arts Experience Village | 観光地情報

The Gochang-gun Traditional Arts Experience Village is a traditional arts experience space created to preserve and pass down the cultural heritage and traditional arts of Gochang, a UNESCO World Heritage city, and to provide living traditional culture experience opportunities for residents and tourists. Located next to Gochang Eupseong Jinseoru (West Gate), it consists of six traditional hanok houses and one thatched house. Visitors can experience various activities such as pottery, pansori, embroidery, and natural dyeing with Gochang’s masters including traditional pottery masters, Jeonbuk intangible cultural asset embroidery artisans, natural dyeing masters, and performers of pansori recognized as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage by the Dongri Cultural Business Association. In addition, it operates exhibitions and various experience programs, making it a representative cultural tourism attraction in Gochang where entire families can experience the depth and beauty of traditional culture and create precious lifelong memories.
