Hwajindam, located in Bosanwon, Gwangdeok-myeon, Cheonan-si, Chungnam, embodies both the past and present. The rice warehouse building constructed in 1976 was preserved and reborn with a modern sensibility. The ceiling features a wooden truss structure, and one side of the ceiling has a translucent roof allowing exquisite natural light. Opened in April 2022, Hwajindam is composed of wood, stone, and plants to provide visual comfort similar to being outdoors. Walking along the indoor stone path reveals an impressive large round moon light and views of the exterior through large windows. The signature menu item is the Walnut Village Cream Coffee topped generously with the famous local walnuts of Gwangdeok. In addition, pets are allowed only at outdoor tables.
