Located in Boeun-gun, Chungbuk, Boeun Udang Old House is a symbol of noblesse oblige. Following the family motto 'Wiseunchoerak [為善最樂],' meaning 'Doing good is the greatest joy,' it opened Gwansunyeong to gather and teach talented people from all over the country. It is a warm house that gave kindness to the point that nearby disadvantaged people never knew hunger. The place where the 99-room palace stood is at the end of Seowon Valley, surrounded by pine trees. The site’s shape is like a lotus floating on water, a lotus flower shape with auspicious energy, similar to Hahoe Village. Boeun Udang Old House was built between 1919 and 1921 by the finest carpenter of the time. It consists of Sarangchae, Anchae, and a shrine.
The Boeun Seowon-ri Pine Tree is located beside a road stretching through Seowon-ri and next to Samgacheon, south of Sogrisan. It is estimated to be about 600 years old. The tree stands 15.2 meters tall, with a circumference of 5.0 meters near the roots. The trunk splits into two at a height of 84 cm, forming an umbrella shape overall. Villagers hold annual ceremonies praying for the village's peace in honor of this pine tree. In recent years (2002, 2003), efforts were made to cultivate successor trees by pollinating it with pollen from the Jeongipumsong. The Boeun Seowon-ri Pine Tree is designated as a natural monument for its high value as both folkloric and biological material and is protected accordingly.
A traditional Korean set meal specialty restaurant located within the Songnisan Beopjusa tourist complex, named after the grandmother Nam Gyeonghui who first opened the restaurant, with a 70-year tradition. Certified as a Century Store by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, it began as a set meal restaurant in Daejeon in 1950, moved to the Yuseong military rest area, and came to Songnisan in 1974. Grandmother Nam Gyeonghui is a Chungcheongbuk-do local food artisan holder and offers dishes made with wild seasonal ingredients from Songnisan. They use vegetables grown on their own Gyeonghui farm and make their own chili powder, chili paste, soybean paste, and house soy sauce to provide a nostalgic hometown taste. The side dishes served at one table include about 40 varieties such as shiitake mushrooms, sliced boiled beef, young shoots of aralia, wild bracken, pickled persimmon, wild cloud ear mushrooms, mountain vegetables, shiitake pancake, braised chestnuts, sweet pumpkin, perilla seed fried mushroom, which makes the table laden abundantly. Mustard sauce and strong soybean paste are made by the restaurant's unique cooking methods. Based on traditional Korean cooking methods but somewhat modernized to be less spicy and salty, the dishes are popular not only among Koreans but also foreigners, offering a taste full of sincerity. Due to the nature of set meals, orders are possible for two or more people. The area around the restaurant has many places to visit, including Songnisan Sculpture Park, Oligil Trail, and Beopjusa Temple.
