With the development of the Pyeongchon New Town in the 1990s, a food town began to form centered around Guindong and Sinchondong on either side of the road. It is the most popular dining area for Anyang residents on weekends. About 100 restaurants are clustered here, offering a wide variety of options that make it hard to find a menu item that is not available.
